When I brought her ( a female Albino ) I set up her cage and played with her for a couple of minutes . She must have been pretty tired from the trip home because she fell asleep in my arms. Three days later my mother said she disliked the smell. I begged haer no to bring her back to the store because I liked the smell and I was really starting to bond with her.</H4> |

It is a hard thing to do, to give up such a great pet. But you do need to keep your family in mind when you get a new pet. If even one person does not like the pet there will be animosity that will lead to the ferret not getting the treatment it deserves. This is even more so when it is your parent's house. Eventually you will be able to have a place of your own and will be able to make the decision for yourself.
Until then you are best to learn all that you can about these lovely animals. Maybe you can even get involved with them outside your home. Ferret shelters are always looking for people that can help them. You can even try the Card Exchange that the SOS runs. This not only helps to raise money for Ferret Shelters, but also gives you the chance to get great cards from ferret lovers all over the country. |
