Choosing a food for your ferret is one of the most important decisions you'll have to make. With all the choices out there, sometimes it can be difficult to choose one. Some people even mix a variety of foods together.
So this week we ask:
What is your ferrets normal diet, and how did you choose it? |

Hey i'll go first!
I normally mix 50:50 Evo Ferret with Evo Canine for the 3 older boys.
Our new kit eats that and whole prey as well, 2 'servings' a day .
Why: One of our boys cannot seem to digest chicken in any form or quality. I have tried, trust me I have. This mix of Evo seems to be the happy medium for his tummy and ears. (canine has the turkey).

We use Marshall's ferret food all the time. It certainly does get pricey, but we've done the research, and found that they have the best ingredients for what a ferret needs.
Nutrition was one of the first things we had to make an important decision about with our ferrets, because the 3 fuzzy angels that we adopted were malnourished and unhealthy and this was before "Duk Soup" was readily available.
If anyone would like more information I would strongly suggest checking out this site and reviewing the ingredients to see what is best for what your ferret wants/likes

| I use 3 crunchy foods. Special Kitty Kitten, Kitten Chow and Deli Cat, I mix the 3 together, the Deli Cat is like a treat for them in their food. The crude protien is high and they like it. |

| i use a mixture of 8 in 1 Ultimate crunchy, Evo Innova Cat and Kitten and Nutro Complete Care Kitten. (the Evo Innova Ferret seemed to make their little poop loose). i also put a little ferretone on it a couple of times a week for a special treat. since i have used this formula, they have put on some weight and gotten really shiny soft coats. |
