| Hi all you ferret lovers. I have noticed in the different things I read that it seems like a lot of ferret people are also Trekkers, myself included. The last reference I came across talked about ferret ears looking a lot like ears of a ferengi. So, who out there is also a Trekker? |

Hello, and welcome to our forums! I'm not really into Star Trek specifically, but we are definitely sci-fi and fantasy fans. I've heard from an awful lot of ferret owners are into sci-fi and such. It seems there's a definite connection between the two. In fact, there's even an article in Ferrets magazine (Jan./Feb. 2004 Issue, page 38, by Sukie Crandall) on this that gives some ideas on why people that own ferrets also tend to enjoy fantasy and sci-fi books and movies. It's a pretty interesting article if you can find a copy of that magazine.
I myself get alot of enjoyment from roleplaying games (Final Fantasy is my all time favorite series), which I think falls somewhere into the sci-fi/fantasy realm.
I also have a pet rat named Trillian, after the character from Hitchikers Guide to the Galaxy.
So, yes, I'd definitely think there are probably plenty of Star Trek fans out there that are also ferret lovers!
Take care,
Ferretlover |
